Does God answer prayer? Some, but not all? Sometimes, but not all the time? Or does God always answer prayer and it’s just that sometimes God says no. Could prayer be bigger than God listening and answering? Maybe we need a fresh perspective on how we approach the things in life that compel us to pray.

Rob Bell has a unique way of teaching. This DVD deals with the hard question of why some people are healed when others are not. Well done.

I am a fan of Rob Bell in general. This is classic to his Nooma series. He takes issues that have seem complicated and states them in a way that is easy to comprehend. Love it!! Don't stop at just one get the whole series

My husband and sons brought home our first NOOMA DVDs after a Promise Keepers conference a couple of years ago. Since then, our family has purchased the entire series and watch them regularly. Rob Bell does something that many churches do not do for our youth (and adults), make them think and ask, "Why do I believe what I believe? Is it based on doctrine or tradition?". Our sons not only watch the entire presentation with us, they ask questions and prove Rob's words through Scripture and study. The background given in each DVD puts Scripture into perspective for our modern world. They are a valuable teaching tool for any age. Our family looks forward to many more!

Another great DVD from Rob Bell and the folks at Nooma. This DVD could be used in a small group setting, it could be shown to a friend who is struggling with the unfairness of life. Rob Bell asks the tough questions and helps you consider God in a different way.

I love the Nooma series and Rob Bell's application of scripture to our lives today. Each video challenges us to think about issues. The accompanying booklet raises questions about the video and provides a good starting point for discussion. My only suggestion would be to condense the questions on one sheet that could be xeroxed for handout in class.
