We all compare ourselves to others. We spend our lives wondering what others think and say about us. Some of us even wish we were someone else. We question why we are the way we are and not the way we wish we could be. Some of us have let the expectations of others dictated who we've become. We act a certain way to be accepted but know that we're being untrue. But why are we so concerned with what other people think, say, or look like? What does it say about us if we are unable to accept who we are? Maybe if we really knew our true selves, we wouldn't give so much attention to other peoples' lives and live more in tune with the life God wants for us.

Unlike other series of books or movies you've encountered, it's perfectly fine to dive into the Nooma series anywhere.
This latest film, labeled No. 18 "Name," draws its lesson from the ancient biblical story of Jacob wrestling with a heavenly being.
Followers of the Nooma series will find that No. 18 is another of the visually daring Nooma films. The special effects were simple to produce here -- but the impact is striking. (And, I won't spoil the film by explaining any more about the visual imagery.)
As usual, Rob Bell takes the ancient story and quickly connects the lessons with issues we confront every day.

My son struggles so much with loving and being himself. After watching this, I asked him to watch it. It was short and very easy for him to watch. It held his attention. And he commented that it was just what he needed!

Do not be deceived. Rob does not mention anything to lead you to Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to get to heaven and not what you do or say or think. It is more important to know about Jesus Christ than anyone else. All for short of the glory of God. There is non righteous, not one. The bible said to be diligent. Jesus said there will be many deceivers in these last days. Be diligent. Do research on Rob Bell and read what other true christian web sights are writing about him.

This was not one of Rob Bell's better DVD's though the message was good. I wanted to use it with teenagers and I think it was targeted more for adults. But all of his stuff is good. I was just hoping for a little more "oomph" that would appeal to the teenagers.

Excellent resource. Can be used to explore the negative & positive aspects of anger with a Christian worldview.
