Is how we live connected to something that has been in place since the beginning of time? Maybe Jesus didn't come to start a new religion, but to show us how to live in tune with the life God has always planned for us. Rhythm is the eleventh DVD of the Nooma ® series - short films appropriate for personal and small group settings, congregational meetings, and much more. Like parables, they use the experiences of our lives to teach about the fullness of life through Jesus, tackling issues like forgiveness, discipleship, and unconditional love. The study materials accompanying each Nooma® encourage meaningful discussion with relevant questions and biblical references. DVD Features:- Running time: Approx. 12 minutes

Reviewed by Chris Leininger (Brazil, Indiana), August 31, 2009 Another reviewer suggests that the theme of Rhythm "living in tune with God" reduces Christiany to a feel good idea. I whole heartedly disagree. I spent half my life pushing open doors unitl one day I realized that God will always let us choose our own path -even when he has something better planned for us. Thankfully I am now at a point in my faith walk that I no longer push doors open, instead I wait on God and when my life aligns with God it becomes clear what path to take (whether it be in business, my family life, etc)
The Nooma series is presented in a way that I call "seeker sensitive". Meaning they can be veiwed by seasoned Christians as well as thoe who are still seeking understanding related to the meaning of life and the existence of God.
The postmodern world we live in uses terms like living in synchronicity, being in tune with the Tao and is inspired by DVD's such as The Secret. Nooma's allow us a meduim to bridge that gap and by using modern day topics and terms to lead people to God. They equip Christains with meaniful and thought provoking dialogue to use at home and in evangelism. I am a healthcare provider and play them in my office and many people ask to borrow them to take home and share with their families.
My son is 13 and we watch these while eating breakfast on the weekend - then he talks abouth them with my all week. 0 out of 5 stars
Reviewed by Philip Jones (Gillette, WY), July 16, 2008 What in the world is this video about? What is the message? Is the message biblical? These are some of the questions that I gave to my youth group to ponder after viewing this video together. (they all loved the video) But- when asked to probe a little deeper they all started to question the basis of this video. After only a little discussion we agreed that living in "tune with God" is certainly not the same as being "Born Again." Matter of fact Bell just confuses the issue and makes Christianity a feel good liberal ideal. These video's have been a blessing to my youth group as I use them to teach about theology and "Emerging" liberal thought in the church. Write a review of Nooma #11: Rhythm, DVD
