I just recently received this on my order, This interlinear is amazing, very well laid out. the reason I bought this book was because I REALLY want to understand God's Word and it is doing that very well. One reason that I did find that a book like this should be in your library is look up Mark 5:7. and then check this with multiple translations. (KJV, NIV, NLT, NASB)
Like I said a great tool and money well spent. I would like to add. I would love to see this type of format for thier old testament.

This is a good interlinear, maybe especially for those who do not know much if any Greek. The parsing below each word is very helpful. Having the NIV and NASB on each side as well as the way it in translated shows different styles & decisions made in the translating process. The numbering system makes it quick and easy to look up a word for more information. The Greek words are spread unevenly to line up with the translation. This is an advantage, of course, as you are learning, but it can also be a bit distractive - don't know anything to make that better though. It is nice having the dictionary right there in it. All in all, it is a very helpful interlinear.

This book is good but there are things I don't like about it. First, the print is too light and hard to read. Then, it would be MUCH easier to read if the verse numbers were in bold type to differentiate the verses. I myself don't like very well how the authors do the translation under the Greek text. They put the actual meaning of some but not all the Greek words in italics, then in English word order have the full translation under that. This is confusing to me as I would rather they just put the meaning of the Greek words under ALL the words themselves as Alfred Marshall does in his interlinear Greek and English texts; then if need be put a number before the English meaning to show the word order in an English sentence as Marshall does. But I do like very much how the authors, under the numbering system for each Greek word (keyed to William Mounce's dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament words) have parsed each word of the Greek text in an easy to follow set of abbreviations given in the front of the book. Type of word (e.g. noun, verb, participle), case, gender, verb tense and voice are all given.

My only complaint is the lettering is just a bit too small. Mounce continues to deliver an excellent exposition of the Word of God as well as translations that seek to give an accurate rendering of the original intent of the message of the New Testament. Having the NIV and NASB along side the Greek allows the student to grasp a full complete understanding of content, context, and meaning. This is no way diminishes the King James Version at all. I think we are blessed to get a more accurate rendering of the KJV with these resources. Excellent buy. Despite the small lettering I do not regret the purchase.
