Why is there so much pain and suffering in our world? What should we do with our nagging doubts? Is Jesus the only way to God? Former skeptic Lee Strobel brings his tough-minded and engaging approach to these pressing questions. Based on the book The Case for Faith, this six-session, video-driven study addresses the most common obstacles to faith in Christ.

The material is good, but very choppy short presentations. In order to be abe to use it effectively for a group, he should have included longer teaching sessions...something people could get their teeth into.

This is good study, and Lee Strobel is an excellent presenter. It's very thought provoking. However, I didn't think this was quite as good (nor as inspiring) as The Case for Christ. My Small Group did this and enjoyed it, but feel like we finished each session with a strong sense of "take aways." The participant guide also seemed to ask a lot of "obvious" / Sunday school type of questions (most of use ended up not even using them).

DVD study excellent But you do not have all you need in this Kit. Publisher marketing Ethic is deceptive. The DVD is awesome! However, the questions to ask the group are NOT included in the leaders guide. The Leaders guide simply directs you to ask the questions on pp.... in the Student Book). You MUST purchase a student guide separately (Not included in this kit) before you can use the program, knowing what questions to ask verbally. I never use the excessively over priced Study Guides for any of these type of products anyway ($8 plus $2 shipping? Why don't they make them out of news print or something for $1?) We simply discuss verbally. However, I realize this is a slick marketing trick to get more money. With no Questions included in the leaders guide we almost got caught. We ordered the DVD with leaders guide, thinking we had all we needed to run the program. Luckily, I scanned the program and found this just a few weeks before starting. Then had to order the Student book after, and wait another 2 weeks for delivery. Actual minimal cost to use this product is really another $8 for the Student Book, and $2 extra shipping- The program total is really $28 before you can use this DVD as a study. Same for Case for Faith, Christ, & Creator)
CBD & Publisher. The price does not concern me. I'll gladly pay more. But just include the Student book in with the Leaders Kit and DVD and increase the price, so that we have what we need to start a group, without scrambling a the last minute. OR, at the very least, inform the customer in the description of this item that ONE Student Book is required to run the program, if you wish to know what questions to ask. Inform the publisher the Study Guides are ridiculously priced for what you get. That is why we decided to stop using them for all DVD small groups we run. Thank you!
