I'm just reading The Myth of a Christian Nation along with enjoying and sharing The American Patriot's Bible.
Personally speaking, there is conflict in my own life as a Christian who's become politically active and striving to keep faith in first place at the same time!
I can see a similar confusion in other reviews I just read.
What I like about this book is that as the world rewrites our history in an attempt to glorify an altered version, this resource brings evidence to the table for a compelling rebuttal.
It also teaches the Word! What a resource for our children who (do ya' think?) are missing some truth about our unique history in the world.
I will continue to promote this unique combination of the Word and the world-view of America; that of one based on Christian principles.
I can't reject the writer's motives for either book. Both are unique and challenging reading. Both cause us to think and rethink --and pray--over these conflicts.

This resource is one of the saddest things I have encountered in my many years of pulpit ministry. Not only does it take the text of the sacred Scripture and add notes that do nothing to exegete the text, it marginalizes the rest of Christendom who don't live in the United States. I can't believe Nelson published this, I can't believe a Bible preaching minister would conider it. The "historical stories" are often poorly researched or examples of specious reasoning. This is not a true account of the founding of a nation nor is it awfully consistent with the contents of the Bible it seeks to explore. The most foreboding aspect of this text is that it combines Christianity and nationalism. A potent formula used effectively during the Crusades. I cannot recommend this resource for anyone. If the Bible doesn't apply to all people it is meant for no people.

This Bible has enriched my understanding that "Yes! we are a Christian nation." I have been encouraged to pray for America as I am reminded how throughout history God divinely brought America into being--through his humble sacrificial & devoted people & His miraculous works.

This is a wonderful resource Bible for Americans and those who love America. Thank you for making this available and at the great price. It doesn't even matter to me that the imprinted name is not mine. I have already highlighted my favorite passages and the stories about Benedict Arnold and Martin Luther King and Civil Rights and Christopher Columbus were fascinating to my husband and me as I read them aloud during our travels on the road.

Am I the only one who is becoming increasingly disturbed by the blending of Christianity with nationalism? Just the idea of this Bible is so troubling. Reread the Gospels and see if the disciples blended their faith in Christ with the Roman Empire. Or look at what happened when the German churches gave into the sin of blending their beliefs with the pride of nationalism. I would not recommend this Bible to anyone. There are amazing books on American History but the Bible stands above America and the Word of God will out-live America. We need to be about the kingdom of God, and not chiristianizing our country into something it is not. May God have mercy on America and the world.

This is an excellent Bible, and I am giving it to one of my granddaughters for her birthday. My teenage grandson really likes the one I gave him for his high school graduation gift.
Thanks again for all of your good products and service.
