I have started this book, it will take me a while to finish because it is so thick. What I have read so far is lining up with scripture. Great book for anybody who want to study spiritual warfare and how to be on spiritual alert!!!

I love this book! It should be said that it is written mostly by his daughter and Kirt van Gordan. But they consulted and published tons of Dr. Martin's essays and lectures through this book. And If you have any questions about the occult please get this book it cleared up all my misconceptions!

I wasn't quite sure what I'd think of the book "The Kingdom of the Occult". Typically topics like this are either creepy or overly simplistic. What I found in this book exceeded my expectations. I found a book full of scholarly research in to various facets of the Occult from UFO cults to Satanism, Paganism to the New Age. This book was footnoted and provided detailed overviews of Occult practice by chapter and even showed debate within various cults. I was surprised by the sheer volume of information and the heavily footnoted references. Since I was reading this as research for a novel I'm writing having this information laid out systematically made this a valuable reference tool. This is also useful for individuals in missionary and evangelism because of the strong Biblical foundation of the work. There are charts, maps and headers that make this easy to read and easy to return to. I recommend this book in the strongest possible terms for its wealth of information, its Quick Facts summary at the conclusion of each chapter, for the 18 page index and 21 page bibliography. If anyone wanted to know more on this topic this is the first place I'd send them. Not only is it dense with material but it cites the sources to allow for further study.

The Kingdom of the Occult, by Walter Martin, Jill Martin Rische, and Kurt Van Gorden, is an exhaustive, one-stop resource that gives readers the information they need to understand the occult. It is brimming with compelling case studies, recommended resources, and a Scriptural response section that arms believers with biblical truth to refute false teaching. “Our postmodern Western world is in the midst of a violent revolt against reason and logic,” contend the book’s authors. “There are hundreds of millions of people involved in the occult revolution; numbers so high they cannot accurately be counted.” Now more than ever, it is incumbent upon believers to arm themselves with biblical truth to refute false teaching. This book helps you do just that. Written in a down-to-earth, easy-to-understand style, the authors condense a wealth of information into small, easy-to-digest chapters, suitable for anyone’s palette. Despite the heaviness of the topic, the book’s light and hope-filled tone makes reading it easy and enjoyable. The authors have provided the body of Christ a great service in this excellent resource. It is an exceptional piece of work. People serving in their local congregations, serious Bible students, scholars, and theologians would all benefit from reading this book. Definitely a five-star read!

The Bible clearly says, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. The challenge with this verse is society does not want to take the time to study, more or less to be approved unto God. This leads to being spoon fed an agenda that can and will send many souls to hell. The Kingdom of the Occult bridges God’s Word to the history and present day attitudes and beliefs of the occults. The reader is taken to a level of understanding that one is to be held accountable for not only the knowledge that is given in this book, but to be a witness of Christ’s message of true Salvation through the cross of Jesus Christ. Citing numerous references, handy chapter notes, and an analysis questionnaire, this book will help anyone searching for truth. This book is not for the fate of heart, but for the seeker and arduous student of the one true God, His Son, and The Holy Spirit. Written with experiential knowledge and in-depth research, the Kingdom of the Occults is fascinating and intriguing, helping to understand the disguise of modern day cults and attitudes today’s society has adopted as “religion” and “spirit of relativism.” I was exhausted, fascinated, and impressed with this biblical research tool.

One of the most intelligent books on the subject I've ever read. Well researched, matter of fact... does not sensationalise the subject, acknowledging the seriousness and reality of the occult, sympathising with the lost, while at the same time standing firm on Scripture, and offering a biblically based rescue plan. As an ex witch I know how accurate and honest this book is... and honesty is a rare quality in this field, which often gets bogged down in superstition and horror stories. This book admits of the seriousness of the problem, but never looses sight of the fact that God is greater. I also am delighted by the fact that the remit of the book is to equip Christians to win souls for Christ, rather than trophies for a collection cabinet. The book is written to bring glory to Jesus, who defeated sin and death, including the kingdoms of the cults. This book is outstanding, and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone involved in ministering to those trapped in the darkness of the occult. This book should become a classic.
