A thorough, well-researched and well-written study that covers the various aspects of Christ's death: atonement, justification, redemption. Dr. Morris shows how the different terms were used in the Old Testament and in Greek and Jewish writings in New Testament times. This is a comprehensive word-study that shows what the apostles meant when they preached the gospel of the cross. Well worth reading--a knowledge of Greek and Hebrew pronunciation (if not the languages themselves) would be helpful.
