We need to remind Catholics that Zondervan is an evangelical Protestant publishing house and most of the African-American readers are from denominations that use the Protestant canon of the Bible. So, in using the word "Complete" they're not as inclusive as one might hope. You'll find some books missing here, if you're a Catholic reader.

I love this CD set of the Bible! I received it 3 weeks ago and have listened to some of the Psalms and most of Paul's Epistles. I sometimes wish the background noises were softer. In places it is hard to hear the speaker because of them, and after awhile they become repetitive, but I do feel like the background adds a sense of drama and "being there" that is missing in other audio Bibles. I was surprised that II Timothy 2:13 said, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful. He cannot 'disown' Himself." "Disown" does not have the same meaning as "deny". The point of the verse is that God's character is unchangeable. I wondered if it was an error in the version or accidentally misread by the reader. I love the occasional songs in the midst of the readings. Overall I am really enjoying my Bible Experience CD's.

Reallly brings the bible to life and is certainly not boring. It was a great price and I am excited to have it. I listen to it at work and in my car. I can now do more bible study than ever. Great value!!!

I just started listening to the CDs today. I love them! I'm hooked already. I have never listened to someone reading the Bible with as much passion as those actors. It is my goal to listen to the CDs every day to and from work. I cannot imagine a more productive use of my time.

I am very proud to have this product. My husband and I listen and read along every morning. It is the very tie that binds us together like nothing before. It even allows us to ride together and have more in common. The word comes up in our conversations more and more because we are listening to and reading the same thing. I LOVE the Bible Experience on CD! It takes reading the Bible to a whole new level. I am a candidate for my BS in Bible/Ministry, and this audio Bible is an invaluable tool as I continue to reach my goal in my studies. The packaging is beautiful, and the sound effects are vivid. They bring the scriptures to life! Also, I am very pleased with the quick shipping from CBD!

Luckly my library in Washington TWP southern NJ has it there are 4-5 Washington TWP here.I listen to the daily very good and I can listen to the bible more than I get to read it. All famous people read this bible and It is read with lots of emotion!!!I take them out all the time I give myself breaks from it but I miss it if I go too long with out listening to this version of the bible.Worth the $80 to get a copy until then I will keep renting fron the public library.

Okay I see now that although it might say one chapter it is overlaping now it on Genesis 47 but it is talking about Genesis 40. No longer confuse.

I just purchased this item (I bought it at our local Borders because I had a 40% coupon!) and have just listened to the first disc. I had the New Testament set before, but I gave it to our neighbor, so I figured I might as well go for the whole Bible. I absolutely love it. I know there is a lot of controversy over the TNIV Bible itself, but this is a great set and is so well done. It really brings God's Word to life. It is very easy to listen to and is a great way to hear the Bible. I listen to it in my car. I am putting it on my MP3 player as well. There is a problem with the track listing on the discs when you rip them to the computer, but that is a small issue that can be fixed by editing. I highly recommend this product.
