Will writing a romance help this author find a real-life hero?
Charity Anderson turned her back on Kings Meadow years ago, with good reason, and has avoided visits to her hometown whenever possible. But with her house in Boise damaged by floodwaters and a book deadline bearing down, staying in her parents empty home seems her only option. However, being back in Kings Meadow dredges up a painful secret, and old fears threaten to overwhelm her.
Charitys former high school classmate Buck Malone never left town, instead sacrificing his dreams to take care of his family. Now he enjoys an uncomplicated life as a wilderness guide and confirmed bachelor. The last thing on his mind is settling down.
When Charitys dog causes an accident that leaves Buck with a broken ankle and wrist at the start of prime tourist season, Charity has little choice but to render aid while he recuperates. Soon Buck becomes the inspiration for Charitys hero, both on the page and off. Can he also help her face and overcome her fears so they might find their own happily ever after?

Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Nice Addition to a Series!May 25, 2015Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Charity Anderson never expected to spend the summer next door to her high school crush when she decided to spend several months in her childhood home in Kings Meadow, Idaho. Struggling to write a new book while her home in Boise is being remodeled, Charity hopes to find refuge while her parents travel abroad, but just one glance at Buck Malone has her sufficiently distracted. What is worse, her faithful dog Cocoa involves Buck in a "leash accident" that leaves him with a broken wrist and ankle; preventing him from leading wilderness trips for most of the summer.
Buck Malone barely recognizes Kings Meadow's most famous author. Charity Anderson has not come home in years and that puzzles him. It's obvious that there is more to her story when he quizzes her about it, but she refuses to give him any details and practically hyper-ventilates when he digs for information. Since he is a self-confirmed bachelor, Buck has a difficult time understanding his fascination with his lovely neighbor-turned-helper during his convalescence. The summer is ending quickly, do Charity and Buck have enough time to sort out their true feelings?
"Whenever You Come Around" is a nice addition to Robin Lee Hatcher's Kings Meadows Romance series, but the story ends a little too quickly and I was left wanting just a little bit more.
Pam BurkePotosi, MOAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Sweet romanceMay 18, 2015Pam BurkePotosi, MOAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Whenever You Come Around is a sweet romance set in the midst of the beauty of Kings Meadow, Idaho. In typical fashion, Robin Lee Hatcher creates rich characters with deep emotions who interact through an engaging plot filled with just the right amount of tension and intrigue.
The promise of budding romance is pretty obvious from the first pages. And the story goes deeper into the realm of forgiveness (especially for one's self) and healing of deep, long-held wounds. The story has a contemporary setting with some current issues that all come together in a warm tale of faith and love.
I highly recommend this very enjoyable read from a great author.

Claudette KlecknerMeridian, IdahoAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Whenever you Come Around by Robin Lee HatcherMay 12, 2015Claudette KlecknerMeridian, IdahoAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the second book in the Kings Meadow Series. Charity had lived in this town and experienced a terrible situation there, so she moved to Boise to live. She came back there to live at her parents home for the summer while they were on vacation and her house was getting renovated. Charity is a writer and I could imagine her to be Robin Lee Hatcher.
Buck who she knew during her school days when she had a crush on him lives next door to her parents. It was so enjoyable to see the story unfold. It warmed my heart from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down I read it in one afternoon.

JanetColumbus, GAGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Sweetest Story I've Read So Far This YearMay 8, 2015JanetColumbus, GAGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoyed visiting Kings Meadow again with Robin Lee Hatcher this week. Her newest book in that series, Whenever You Come Around, is one of the sweetest Ive read this year. In this book, readers meet successful author Charity Anderson who has been avoiding Kings Meadow, her hometown, for years, refusing even to visit her parents there. But her house in Boise requires major renovations following a flood. With her parents in Europe for the summer, Charity figures she can hide in their home, write her next book, and avoid contact with anyone for just a few months.
But then her dog accidentally trips the boy next door causing him to break his ankle and wrist. Charity feels obligated to help him out since shes living right there and, well, his dilemma is her dogs fault.
Yes. Its a romance. But its also a story of community, of people taking the time to notice anothers pain and to not let that person hide behind it, missing all the good things that life can bring. Its a story of God gently nudging people away from their self-placed limits on life and toward the gifts He has for them. Its a story of trusting God to love in order to be able to love.
I liked everything about this story: setting, characters (new and old), message, pace. If you appreciate contemporary Christian romances, youll like this book, too.
