It is very unfortunate that someone feels that writing a book as a combat tool is a good use of time. Rather than buy this, go out an examine each religion and find the truth for yourself. You will find it easy to cast away false religions like those that protect pedophiles etc...

I would recommend this book to anyone who either has a Jehovah's Witness friend or coworker because Ron Rhodes walks you through their belief system and how to counter it in a friendly, not an argumentative fashion. I've used his method and it's worked, and now I'm no longer turned into a doctrinal pretzel when I encounter Jehovah's Witnesses!Go Jesus!

I was raised a Jehovah's Witness so when I decided to leave, I was full of confusion. I felt it was the right choice because of my own doubts, but this book helped confirm and validate what I was feeling inside. The book is very well written and the material is presented very lovingly and not attacking. I highly recommend this book for those coming out of the religion, but I also recommend it for people who know someone in the religion so that you can have a better understanding of what they believe and how to respond.

I was formerly incarcerated and that is where the LORD saved me! I had a bunkmate who is a Jehovah's Witness. He tried everything to get me. I was in a state of confusion beyond explanation as far as to what the REAL truth is as to who is Jesus Christ, Do we really have a conscious soul that goes to heaven after death, and is the Holy Spirit more than just a force as Witnesses claim? After God revealed the truth to me this book was sent to me. So to make myself clear, this book helped me tremendously know the truth as found in Bible. Anyone seeking the truth about how to answer a Jehovah's Witness needs to read this book. Jude 3.

This book is fantastic! Contrary to Tim's assertion, it will help equip you with the truth, show how others distort God's Word to fit their theology and encourage a deeper understanding of Scripture.
It's very user friendly, has a great format and will help expose those that are lost in the bondage of darkness.
Get this book if you have a love for the JW's or simply want to learn more about them.

It seems to me that this book was written for the wrong reasons. Why should we learn the Bible: to become better Christians or to beat someone in a debate? Unfortunately, Mr. Rhodes is a human, so his arguments also have flaws waiting to be exposed.

I had to write a review for this great book. Thank you Ron! I am a new Christian, and I bought this book because I work with a Jehovah's Witness who has been reading the bible for 15 yrs. After reading "Reasoning from the Scriptures", I have been able to have wonderful "discussions" with this gentleman about who Jesus really is. He is amazed with my knowledge of the scriptures and what they really mean(thanks to your book). It's a wonderful way to hopefully share the True Christ and lead them out of darkness!! If you are conversing with a Jehovah's Withness this book should be first on your shopping list!! thanks again Ron.

This is still the best of the best when it comes to refuting the false doctrines of the Watchtower. I have also used this book to keep some from becoming a "Jehovah's Witness." This is a "must have" book for your library. Jesus is Lord!
