Everywhere we turn, or so it seems, we are confronted by a mind-numbing assortment of distractions, temptations, obligations, and frustrations. Ours is a noisy generation, a generation of too much sound and too much fury. And as dues-paying members of the 21st century, we may find ourselves nervously following the crowd as we barrel down the road of life, feeling too busy to consult a map and too overwhelmed to enjoy the scenery. Yet even on our busiest days, God beckons us to slow down and to pray. When we do, we avail ourselves of the peace and abundance that only He can give.
With passages chosen from Christian writers you trust, each page-per-day entry gives a Scripture to focus on and a short devotional. Slow down, listen to the heart of God for you, and rest in His peace throughout your busy days.

I ordered two of these books for Christmas gifts. After seeing them, I am keeping one for myself & ordering at least two more. It is written in very easy-to-understand language & very applicable to today's world. Also, a very good devotional for a new Christian or even one who is not yet a Christian.

This is a great devotional for young women. It is an easy read and I love that it is filled with scripture and not so much story telling. Highly recommend!

The content and design of the book was great!
Disappointed in the physical cleanliness of the outside cover. The purchase was made to use as gifts. Fortunately was able to use a white eraser to remove marks and numbers from the cover and to whiten it up.

I have just finished a Bible Study on becoming a woman of prayer. This book fits right in, and reminds me of the things I learned and need to apply to my life.

This book was given as a gift, however, the recipient was overjoyed with the content and the focus on prayer. It is clearly written in terms one, if they were not use to praying, could easily understand and follow. Especially appreciated is the section entitled, "My Thoughts Throughout the Year." Due to the concise reading, I would highly recommend this book for women who lead busy lives.

These devotions are ok for a new believer. They aren't very deep in bible truths. A little bit shallow.
