Tell us a little about yourself. We live on the beautiful island of Oahu with our
four children. I teach English at Highlands
Intermediate School, and my husband works as a
nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit. We are
busy and happy. I hope to write a children's
biography about Hiram Bingham, pioneer missionary
to Hawaii.
What was your motivation behind this project? I first became intrigued by Mr. Judson's life
during a painful time in my own life. The great
missionary held to the promises of his Faithful
Father through enduring trials far more severe
than any I had faced. This same God is my
Faithful Father too. When I was asked to develop
a biography for young readers, Adoniram Judson
immediately came to mind.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope children will begin to understand the
beauty and fulfillment in the life lived for
Jesus Christ.
