After nurturing tiny seedlings into fragrant Christmas trees, a farmer begins selling them. All except the biggest one, which the farmer's wife sets aside for her own family. But when a penniless young girl sets her sights on that magnificent tree, the farmer's wife learns the true meaning of Christmas. Recommended for ages 3 to 7.
The Pine Tree Parable tells the heartwarming tale of a farmer and his family who nurture tiny seedlings into fragrant Christmas trees.
When the trees are tall enough to offer to their neighbors, the farmers wife plans to keep the most beautiful pine tree for her family, until one snowy December night when a child teaches her the true meaning of Christmas.

This is a fabulous tool to help teach children giving to the less fortunate and not hanging on to material things. Great book as are the others in this series. I wish she would write more children's books!

I thought this was a cute addition to our
family's collection of Christmas books. I would say that it is definitely better for the younger kids, but worth it.

My 4 year old loved this book. After reading it together, she wanted to give away some of her toys to kids tht don't have much. It was a very good story and I love the bible refrences.

Our family really enjoys this book. It tells a delightful story with a wonderful message. The scriptures on each page really communicate to older readers as well. This is a book my children ask to read all season long. I highly recommended it. This whole seasonal series by Liz Curtis Higgs is excellent.
