This book was given to us when my son was still very young. I held onto it and then pulled it out about three weeks ago when my son began to read a little more fluently.
He didn't put it down. He read it before he went to sleep at night. When he woke up before coming down for breakfast. During his reading time in the day. He just read and read.
He was reading it so quickly that I couldn't keep up with his comprehension. But nothing that he read will return void! And, when he finished he came to me and said "Mommy, can I read this prayer at the end of the book?"
Lots of great discussion and great independence built into this simple Bible.

I have been searching and searching for a way for my daughter to learn to read, using bible stories. This book was an answer to my prayers! Everyday we read, she learns the new words, and best of all she is learning more and more about God! Heather, you have done us all a great service with the effort you put into the book. There is simply nothing else comparable on the market!

This is the Bible beginner readers can read by themselves. I looked and looked for a Bible like this for my two older children. All I could find were Bibles that were designed to be read by them or to be read by better readers. This is perfect for K, 1st grade and 2nd grade students who are learning to read. I bought it for my two younger children and recommend it to everyone I know who has kindergarten through second grade students. I wish this Bible were given more publicity!
