Dr. Kinlaw (
Let's Start with Jesus: In Search of a New Paradigm) delves into the meaning of Philippians 2:5 which says: "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." This study reveals how the Holy Spirit can completely transform a person's thinking.
What motivates the self-sacrifice of a martyr, prompts a bright professional to leave his career to become a missionary, or moves some people to spend their lives in Christian service instead of seeking wealth and status elsewhere? Dr. Kinlaw finds the answer in the above Scripture passage. It's not what but Who that causes people to do these things.

A masterpiece. Kinlaw teaches AND touches the mind and heart of man. I will use the authors own words to describe the book: 'The Bible calls us to have the mind of Christ IN US, rather than merely learning how to imitate Him.' Not only does Dennis address the need of 'Having the Mind of Christ,' he explains the process in a way that is easy for anyone to understand...from both an intellectual as well as spiritual viewpoint. Great study for those seeking a deeper relationship and walk with God.

Kinlaw challenges all Christians to find the deeper walk with Christ which few find, but is open to all. It is an invitation to surrender self-interest and through the power of the Holy Spirit live for others. A very convicting book.
