With the unparalleled worldwide success of the Left Behind series, both fans and critics are curious about the relationship between Bible prophecy and the events depicted in the novels. Responding to recent works that question Left Behind's biblical accuracy, two respected theologians set forth solid, biblical answers in this reader-friendly resource. Beginning with a clear presentation of prophecy interpretation and dispensationalism, the authors examine specific end times events represented in Left Behind and offer historical and biblical support for each event.

This book breaks down the movie with truth and facts. Mark Hitchcock (and Thomas Ice) do an excellent job. Easy to read and understand. I recommend this book AND other Mark Hitchcock books to be a part of your library.

Absolutely pathetic. Unbiblical. Biased. Dishonest. Irrational. Their is one positive side to this book though. Tim LaHaye admits in the introduction that he doesn't understand how to interpret prophecy.

Well written and documented. Reads like a novel in places and a language study in others - highly recommend it.

I found this book very interesting, but then, I believe in a pretrib/premillenial rapture of the church. For an earlier reviewer - the teaching of the rapture appears as early as the 1st century through the "Apostolic" teachings of the church (meaning the churches the Apostles began not the church movement of that name today). The key thing to remember is that in order to receive salvation we need to put our faith and trust in the finsihed work of Jesus Christ on the cross and with the help of the Holy Spirit to endeavor to live our lives with a personal relationship with Christ. Whether He comes for us before, in the middle or after the tribulation is not a reason to fight among the body of the church!

Truth Behind portrays logical and yet simple arguments that answer the most prevalent views of critics of the Left Behind Series. These theological crafted responses to various opposing prophetic positions are simple, well supported and non-defensive. A side benefit of reading this book is increasing your understanding of various "end times" interpretations. This book is a good scriptural overview of the entire series and would be a great final addition to your left behind collection.
