Product Description

Can the stories of sea dragons be true?

The Bible describes a frightening, huge creature that lived in the sea Called Leviathan, it had fearsome teeth and armor-pleated scales that spears and arrows could not penetrate. A Norse legend tells of a colossal sea creature with many arms that could capsize a sailing ship. In 1918, a group of lobster fisherman in Port Stephens, Australia, reported an encounter with "an immense shark of almost unbelievable proportions" that devastated their catch and left them in a state of shock.

As researchers discover teeth and bones from the past, these stories and many like them are no longer easily dismissed as tall tales. The fossil evidence shows that the oceans once teemed with sea monsters and some are still alive today. Even some of those thought extinct may still be lurking in the ocean depths today!

With incredible detail, this books describes:/P>

  • Mosasaurus, the Tyrannosaurus rex of the sea
  • Megalodon, the shark longer than a school bus
  • Sarcosuchus, the "super croc" that weighed up to 8 tons
  • Archelon, the sea turtle large as a Volkswagen Beetle
  • Dunkleosteus, the fish that ate sharks for lunch!
  • And many other sea-dwelling monsters, past and present
  • Each creature is featured with full-color illustrations, size comparisons, skeleton drawings, a fast facts section and fascinating information about how the sea creatures lived and died. This one-of-a-kind book will thrill readers with exciting accounts of those fearsome and marvelous creatures that once ruled the oceans! Recommended for ages 8 and up. Written from a creationist perspective.

This is an in-depth and uniquely special account of the dinosaurs under the seas. The graphics and artwork are impeccably done yet most certainly, the best part of this book is its descriptive, almost exhaustive account of each individual "Dragon of the Deep". I've been touched by how biblically accurate, scientifically researched and well written this book is. Each graphic is stunning, each factoid or proposition, thoroughly thought out. Moreover, I am passionately zealous about training my children up in the way of the Lord. To say that my five-year-old son is fascinated with dinosaurs is a complete understatement; he is mesmerized. I'm encouraged to see fantastic material that combines Scripture, science, and salutary exposition on some of most magnificent creatures the Lord has ever made. The heavens and the seas and all that are in them declare the glory of God. In a world rife with lies and evolutionary spin, it is such a refreshing contrast to see well produced material such as this to deliver the truth to kids. I, for one, highly recommend this product not only for children but also for adults, perhaps especially for grown men and women inundated with the notion that creation science can't be chic, cutting edge, challenging and relevant in a postmodern world. In my humble opinion, I believe practically every picture Bible or scripturally sound piece of literature that incorporates images and words combined with the Holy Word should be redone! Why in the world do we have so many illustrations of tiny, wimpy little Adam and Eve's, King David's, Joshua's and Jesus's permeating the canons of our children's Christian libraries, when we could be offering them so much more dynamism, excitement and truth? Not everything has to be photorealistic, but where are the incredibly talented artists and illustrators out there who love the Lord and want to deliver something authentic to today's youth? I'm a stickler for detail, and this book does not disappoint.
