My husband and I used this as a starter text for our at home bible study. We loved the simple caring way that the Word was presented in every lesson.Bridges has truly accomplished the goal of helping individuals to receive and know the grace of God.We are continually "preaching the gospel to ourselves". This book is perfect for small group bible study sessions.

Jerry Bridges does an excellent job of explaining the how the discipline of holiness in our lives and God's grace go hand in hand; and how impossible it is to attain the standard with out our anchor being in God's grace. This is a very freeing look at our lives in Christ, and a must read for anyone who has had to deal with legalism in their own lives.

I have purchased this book as a gift for many of my friends and family. Why? Because it sets forth, in clarity and simplicity, the most important tenants of our faith. Even the most mature Christian will benefit from this book. It defines Grace and sets out to remind all people who claim to depend on Christ for salvation that they will find full sufficiency in the Gospel.
