This book really caused me to appreciate fredom of religion. We need to pray for the
Christians in China. Thanks to Randy Alcorn
for a fast-paced book that brings out the
truth about persecution of Christians.

How can one put a rating on a book such as this? I know it's fiction but far too close to the real thing. Some of the somewhat mystical other-worldly accounts (heaven and the conversations) were a bit strange to me. However, never having been to Heaven yet... that's as good an opinion as any. I don't know know how I would react to the difference of what Li expected and what he received upon return to his homeland.
I have been in Hong Kong several times. There are posters and ads displayed trying to awake us to the horrible things going on in China in order to have organs for trade. Seeing them makes me think of Safe Home. And it makes me very grateful to live where I still have some freedom to try to live by faith. And it makes me pray for the persecuted.

This is a high impact, life-changing, paradigm shift novel based on truth. I bought several copies and pass them around.

This book gave me a heart for missions in China and I have been sponsoring a missionary with Gospel for Asia ever since. This is a great book and makes me realize how lucky we are to live in the United States.

INcredible! I couldn't put it down! I devoured Randy's writing style and all the information that was fit into this fiction (but not entirely) book. I learned so much about persecution in China - I thought I had an idea... no, I had no idea. This was a real wake up all for me that for some, having Faith is a daily life or death matter. I take so much for granted...

A friend wanted me to read this book when he found out I am going to China for a month this summer. I am very aware of the persecution of Chinese Christians and also of the dangers regularly surrounding the underground churches. This is a wonderful fictional book based on real happenings. It is moving and highly convicting. I recommend if to everyone. It has become one of my two favorite books. YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO READ THIS ONE!
