My daughter and I used this book with the Starting Points curriculum (by David Quine), and found it to be LIFE CHANGING! I have been a Believer for 24 years, but this book made me realize just how much of the 'world' has crept into the church and Christianity in general. I HIGHLY recommend this book to ALL - Teens, Young Adults, Christians, Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, Homeschoolers, Biblestudy groups, etc.
This book challenges the reader to take a closer look at what you believe to be true and why. The Author uses Biblical foundations to examine the effect our culture, different world views, our church, & even our own beliefs have had on Christianity & the Church today.
After reading Assumptions the reader will walk away with a new found 'VIEW', based on the Bible, of what is 'Sacred' and what is 'Secular'. The reader will also have a new conviction to follow GOD's WORD in EVERY aspect of this life He's given us.
