One of the premier songwriters of today, Chris Tomlin is shaping the language of worship for generations present and future. And yet his gifts are rooted in one central truth, that God is the center of everything. Tomlins sophomore studio project, NOT TO US, is an organic, edgy pop blend of his most compelling lyrics to date, the longest and most rewarding mile in his passionate pursuit of real life. It's not just another worship album; it's a soundtrack for all of life.

Although "Arriving" got all the glory in terms of earthly awards, I think "Not to Us" is the real shining star here. God has anointed Chris Tomlin to speak from the lessons God has and continues to teach him and that application is evident in these songs. We are indeed very, very tiny and God is so very, very big. So let us disappear and Jesus shine through us.

I think this is such a great cd.
I love how this cd proclaims that it is not about us, but for his name that we proclaim his glory! He is the Famous One. Thanks Mr. Tomlin and band-

This is a fabulous Christian album that is a cross between rock and guitar worship. I like every song on this album and they all go together very well. The energy in some of these songs is terrific. As other reviewers have said the worship focus to God is great.

I can't say enough about this CD. Songs like "Enough," "Not To Us" and "Famous One" are the kind of songs that you lift your hands to God when you hear. It is also very easy to get into, since it definitely has a lot of pop hooks and good production value (but not excessively so). If I had to recommend one CD for a person just getting into Christian music, this would be it.

Wow. I was at a nation-wide conference that Chris Tomlin's band led worship at, and every single one of us that went was so impressed that at their total attitude of worship. The focus was not on them, but on our incredible, awesome God. When I first heard his new album was coming out, on his website it said to guess what the title would be, and it's from Psalm 115. Well, I looked it up, read the first verse, and said, 'Not to Us!" And, as you can see, that's it. That really is their heart, and it's contagious. This CD is incredible. Every single song is such a powerful worship song. I think everybody should get it! =) (I also highly recommend Passion's "Our Love Is Loud", which features Chris Tomlin & the band.) And let's all keep that same attitude: "It's all for You, my all for You."

This is the first Chris Tomlin CD I've owned and it won't be the last. The title track rocks and the whole Cd is solid. A must have for worship fans.
