Tell us a little about yourself. I am a child of God. A husband to my beautiful bride and a father to my children. Along the path, I have had the privilege of serving as the Children's Pastor of lifechurch.tv, Executive Director of Children's ministries, author of TurboCharged, speaker and consultant. I met the Lord as a child and am passionate about introducing children to a loving Jesus who desires to invade and transform their lives.
What was your motivation behind this project? After over 5 years in one of the largest,fastest growing, most innovative churches in America, I have been blessed with a lot of successes and even more failures. By sharing these experiences ans strategies, I believe it will strengthen the body of Christ at large, specifically in the field of Children's ministry.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Practical insights on ministering to children, leading their team, protecting their family and serving the Lord. We, who serve children, are the most blessed of all. The harvest is ready and waiting.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? By realizing, through consulting and speaking, just how much need there is in this nation and beyond, for the basics of excellence in children's ministry. I love to work with those who may not have all the resources of a mega church but have just as much, if not more, vision, passion and desire to please the Lord.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Craig Groeschel, my pastor is constantly used by God to change my life. Through his books, sermons and personal phone calls Groesch has made a huge eternal difference in my life. I also have great respect for Reggie Joiner of ORANGE and have been priviliged to spend some time with him. Reggie's heart and strategies to start with the end in mind changed our ministry. Marcus Buckingham also is a huge influence in my life. His books inspire me to think outside the box and become what God created me to be.
