Colonial Leaders: Anne Hutchinson

Anne Hutchinson was taught from the Bible as a young girl. Her father knew she was smart. Anne grew up and married. She followed her husband to the New World. She wanted religious freedom not allowed in England. But Anne did not find freedom in the Puritan colony. She had different beliefs. The leaders put her on trial. Anne argued her case very well. She spoke better than the leaders who accused her of wrong doing. But she was ordered to leave the colony anyway.
