The photos are very engaging, but some stories were not biblical, such as when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. It says, "The Holy Spirit cam down from Heaven in the form of a dove. It landed on Jesus." This is not biblical. The Bible says "...and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:" So it was LIKE a dove, not an actual dove that landed on Him.

This is a perfect beginner Bible for toddlers and preschoolers. My 4 year old and 2-1/2 year old enjoy it immensely. I think the true value of a book is derived from how often it is requested by the child, and in our house, this one is requested almost daily. (And we have lots of books!) In my humble opinion, the stories and illustrations might be over-simplified just a little too much, but it's not a big deal since you can easily add more detail to the stories based on your child's curiosity and interest level. Overall, a great value and I give this a solid 5-star rating. Read this with your little one daily and give him/her a solid foundation to grow on!

This ia a beautiful book and my 4 year old grandson loves it. It arrived the day after Christmas, and he was elated that he had another gift to open. He loves books and my prayer is that this Bible will encourage him to love Jesus as he learns about Him.

I already had this bible for my own children. This purchase was for my god daughters. The copy my kids had is beat up and well used! I'm quite happy with the sale price and the speedy shipping!

This is my favorite young children's bible. There are only a few sentences per page and several pages per story resulting in usually 6 pictures (or more) for the kids per story. You can retain their attention while getting more of the details to the children. People are always in the same costume so the kids can tell who Jesus or John is because his robe is the same colour in each story. I have found children who can't read, 'retelling' the story to other younger children because of these features.
