In this culture driven by material success, Tony Dungy reminds us what matters in the game of life. At the top of his NFL success, he demonstrates the value of making memories as well as money, seeing family as more important than fame, and building up a storehouse of eternal wealth that will never fade away. This soft-cover edition includes a new chapter of the 2007 football season! Foreword by Denzel Washington
2008 Retailers Choice Award winner!Tony Dungys words and example have intrigued millions of people, particularly following his victory in Super Bowl XLI, the first for an African American coach. How is it possible for a coach--especially a football coach--to win the respect of his players and lead them to the Super Bowl without the screaming histrionics, the profanities, and the demand that the sport come before anything else? How is it possible for anyone to be successful without compromising faith and family? In this inspiring and reflective memoir, now updated with a new chapter, Coach Dungy tells the story of a life lived for God and family--and challenges us all to redefine our ideas of what it means to succeed.
The softcover edition of this #1 New York Times best-seller includes a new chapter! In it, Coach reflects on the 2007 football season and last years successful hardcover release of Quiet Strength. Also features a foreword by Denzel Washington and a 16-page color-photo insert. Over 1 million in print!

Ha, awesome I bought this book for my dad who's also 86 and hard to talk with about Jesus, being that he's caught up in the old catholic thing.
He's into sports so I figure this is a good way of breaking down that barrier of resistance. Pray for him, and buy the book, it's so worth it, and give the glory to God, amen.

Very engaging. The verbage was as though I was sitting across the table with Tony himself. He spoke as much or more about his struggles, team losses, as it built character in him. Clearly the very best sports-testimony ever.

I love this book! It's great to see the things that go on behind the TV broadcast. Those are the things that shape us as individuals and Tony has provided a wonderful testimony by talking about his experiences, struggles, and his faith & trust in God.

I thought this book was very well written. I appreciate Tony opening up about personal things with out invading family privacy. Tony and Nathan derserve a big thumbs up on this one. Nathan did an excellent job of capturing Tony's thoughts and emotions. I would recommend this book to anyone. I already let my nephew borrow my copy.

One word: Excellent! I love watching football on t.v., but I know that what you see on t.v. in a game is totally not all there is to it. There are the days of practicing, careful planning, and preparation, and none of those things is easy. Tony Dungy uses his faith in God to help him through trials off and on the field. His testimony is a great example to a lot of people, myself included. READ THIS BOOK!!! It is worth the time!

This is a book you will not be able to put down. Even if you're not a football fan, you will love Tony Dungy's faithful walk with the Lord. Tony keeps his eyes on Jesus during his struggles and his victories. He is truly a man of faith.
