Ambitious, but with mostly mediocre photography over some gratuitously graphic violence. Not good film in any meaning of the word.

This was an awesome movie, so when I had the chance to buy my own copy so reasonably I could not resist, it will be great for showing to a small group meeting around Easter.

I purchased this dvd as a Christmas gift, however, I own a copy and I watch it every Easter. It is a very graphic, and accurate portrail of the events that took place.

This is a true masterpiece! I love the fact that this movie does not candy coat the last 12 hours of Jesus' life. It is a must see dvd. I think it is great to be able to visualize the astounding Love that god has for all of us...

The only way to top this movie on DVD is to see it in the theater. I almost didn't see this in the theater as I can't watch blood and gore - it makes me shaky and cold. I am so glad that I did, though, as the movie was filmed as if I was part of the action - I was THERE when my Jesus gave His life for me. This movie brings home the message of what Christ did for us on the cross every time we watch it.

If i could-i would give this a 10! it is the best movie-of the lord's last 12 hrs.- that i have ever seen! It's truly biblical-and as close to the bible [facts] as i have ever seen---[and i'm a great-grandmother-so i have seen a lot!!]

This has got to be "the greatest" witnessing tool in video form that has been produced in many years [or ever]! It is truly biblical as to just what a horrible, painful experience Jesus Christ went through "out of love" for all of us making it possible for us to join him in heaven after we die! For anyone interested they just need to watch the movie; it is 'right-on' with the Bible!

This is so much more enjoyable than in the "postage stamp" format. Thank you for having it available in full-screen. Would I recommend it - absolutely. This is definitely my favorite movie of all times. It makes you feel like "You are Therre." (Does anyone remember that show?) This is not a movie to watch. It is to be experienced to the fullest.
