Tell us a little about yourself. I have been interviewing songwriters for more than forty
years and have received from them the stories behind
200 songs. This is one of 33 books and manuals, 6 of which
are books of song stories. One of the books went to #11 on
the CBA Bestseller list. I still continue to interview these
marvelous Christian writers. I have developed the music
programs in some of the leading churches in America, one
of which is the largest with 20,000 in attendance on
Sundays.
What was your motivation behind this project? It all started with the study of hymnology in college. I then
went from research to actually interviewing the songwriters
themselves. I have found them to be honest, humble,
sincere men and women of God.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? This book gives you the stories behind your favorite
worship songs in the actual words of the songwriter. These
are the accounts of events in the lives of songwriters that
gave rise to songs that have gone around the world. Some
of the stories are sad, some are happy, and some are
comical, but all are true. The songs will be much more
meaningful to you after reading these stories.

format and have been used as a daily devotional guides.
