Tell us a little about yourself. I am a Professor of English and Associate Dean for Distance
Education and International Programs at Bowling Green State
University in Ohio (NOT Kentucky!). I have been studying the works
of C. S. Lewis for thirty-two years. I maintain a website that has
been called "the best resource on the Inklings and C S Lewis."
What was your motivation behind this project? To help first time and veteran readers of the Lion, the Witch, and
Wardrobe enjoy this work everytime they read it--or see the new
movie.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I wanted in this book to share my own love for Narnia and my
enthusiasm for its gospel themes.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? C. S. Lewis is my spiritual mentor and his fiction and nonfiction
have taught me much about how to be a Christian in a skeptical
world.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This book is meant for a diversity of readers, including young
readers. It is written from the point of view of one entering Narnia
along with Lucy and her kin and tries to maintain the awe and
wonder of this magical land throughout the journey.
