Openly challenging the "status quo" of today's modern rock, Switchfoot blends high-octane guitars, spirited horns, orchestrated strings, and acid jazz for a refined, radically different pop sound. Features "Incomplete," "Company Car," "Only Hope," and more!

I like going back and hearing vintage Switchfoot. The title cut "New Way To Be Human" means alot to our family.

I love New Way to be Human! Switchfoot is an amazing band full of amazing peaple. The song are really meaningful and fun at the same time. I think my favorite song off of this album would have to be Only Hope(Sung by Mandy Moore in A Walk To Remember). Buy this cd it's worth it.

Totally sweet! It was the first Switchfoot CD I bought and I loved it. Correction: LOVE it. I like "Amy's Song," Something More," "New Way To Be Human," and "Sooner or Later." It's awesome. I love you, Switchfoot!

I recently went on a trip out of state with my youth group. Of course fifteen hours in the car two days in a row gets boring if you don't have good music to listen to. My friend told me I just had to listen to this cd, I did, and I purchased the cd myself two weeks later! It's that good! I can't really decide if my favorite song is "I Turn Everything Over" or "Under The Floor." Those two are my definite favorites. For all Switchfoot fans this cd is a must have!

WOW, giving this album a 5.0 simply does not do it justice. All of Switchfoot's albums have been awesome, but this is simply one of the greatest CDs that have ever been. The music moves from the awesome rock songs like Company car and goes to amazingly moving ballads like Only hope. If you don't have it, buy it. If you do have it buy another copy. It is that good.

Yes, yes, yes, YES! Musical gold...lyrical, too. One word: eclectic. I've heard some of their newest release Beautiful Letdown, and while it rocks...New Way to Be Human is a landmark achievement for the world of Christian rock. From the well-known quirkish-sounding smash hit opening title track to acoustic/orchestral pieces like Only Hope, a variety of musical styles is explored. The question of faith is explored with answers...especially in songs like Augustine's Confession (my favorite). Refreshing album in a world where most modern rock sounds the same...

This is one of the CD's where switchfoot get a very "teeny-bopper"-ish sound. The lyrics are incredible. The song "Sooner or Later", has such deep meaning. Especially where he sings "Oh, I'm a believer help me believer, yeah, I'm a believer help me believe".
This is a great CD. But like a lot of music used on "A Walk to Remember", the song "Only Hope" was deeply misused. For one, it's not really a love song. It's more of a realization that you're helpless. It's a God/person song, not a guy/girl song. Grrrr...
The acoustics used on this CD are terrific. I love the song "Let That Be Enough".
