This is an excellent audio bible. Max McLean has a wonderful voice and his narrative style has helped me hear and contemplate parts of scripture I might otherwise have missed. I highly recommend this CD set.

I am disappointed with this version of an audio Bible
on CD. The narrator puts too much of himself into the Scriptures by emphasizing and dramatizing the text according to his own interpretation. Perhaps I was looking for a more non-personal narration and this was not it. Not for everyone.

I like the sound of the orators voice, and the subtle music at the beginning of each chapter. Verses are not mentioned, but I think it would be too much. The listening experience flows like a well read story being told. I like it.

I was very impressed with this product which I thought was an exceptional price. It's hard to find New Testament and Psalms/Proverbs together. The packaging makes it convenient to take the scriptures on CD anywhere. I transport them to work and listen to them in my car and at home, also. It's nice to have the Word of God in the background. Max McLean's voice is steady, and the mild English accent keeps the tone from being dull. I'm very pleased overall.
