A woman who is separated needs a friend to walk beside her on her difficult journey.
Broken Heart on Hold is that friend, one that will uplift, encourage, and hold her up while offering practical insights and pointing her to God. It is a book of hope. Because it is written by a woman who has gone through the trauma of a separation and the eventual healing of her own marriage, the reader will know she is not alone.
This collection of honest, heartfelt messages reaches down into the valleys of a woman's loneliness, travels with her through her mental labyrinths, and sheds light in the dark tunnels where answers seem nonexistent. It provides the emotional and spiritual strength to help a woman sort through her confusion.
While winding her way through the maze of her emotions, she will realize there is hope as she hangs on to God and trusts him for the outcome. Broken Heart on Hold is a book she will return to again and again.

Tell us a little about yourself. After being married over twenty years, my husband and I went through a painful three year separation in the '90s. After allowing God to work many changes in each of us, we reunited in 1998 with a stronger and better marriage than before. Because I have both felt the pain, but found the hope, I have a strong desire to help others in the midst of marital trauma.
I have published articles in a number of national and local publications, including Focus on the Family, HomeLife, Light and Life and others. I write regularly for Tapestry, a Walk Thru the Bible devotional magazine. I am listed in Who's Who.
My husband and I have two married daughters, two young grandsons, and one of my daughters is expecting twins. Being new grandparents together is one of my husband's and my greatest joys.
What was your motivation behind this project? When my husband and I were separated, I desperately needed something to sustain me emotionally and spiritualy. I went to bookstores looking for a devotional book that could give me spiritual strength through that difficult time, but I found nothing. Later, as I encountered various doubts and fears, I sat at my computer and wrote them down until God brought me to a place of peace. These writings became the beginnings of Broken Heart on Hold.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? As a person in marital crisis winds their way through the maze of their emotions and struggles to make sense of their pain, my hope is that Broken Heart on Hold can give them the emotional and spiritual strength to sort through their confusion so they know how to take the next step and make good decisions. I want a person to feel they have a friend to walk beside them through this period of loneliness to help them discover the light at the end of their dark tunnel. I want them to find healing and hope as well as practical answers to their deepest needs.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? One of my favorite books is The Sacred Romance by Brent Curtis and John Eldredge. In my early life, I was greatly influenced by the books of Catherine Marshall.
