What little I have read in this Bible has helped me a lot,understanding the heart of GOD and what exactly HE is trying to communicate to me.I recommend it to anyone who likes simple language and straight to the point.

Very nice Bible easy to hold easy to read and authors notes are informative. My favorite Bible for casual reading. It also seems to be well made.

I have enjoyed the Message bible. Some passages of scripture are worded in such a way that it has more punch than the NIV, while others I prefer in the NIV or a different translation as well. I want to take it to church, but then I think I would need to bring a traditional Bible as well in order to understand certain passages. I feel that Eugene Peterson has translated the scripture well and accurately when compared to different translations. The black leather is very nice, but it is a bit heavy to carry around. The verses are marked, but not each individual one. They're marked in large blocks with several verses at once. I prefer each individual verse to marked for easier access and to compare each individual verse to different translations. I recommend the Message Bible to anyone who would like to try an even more contemporary interpretation of the scriptures. It's beautifully written and easy to understand.
