Rich Mullins rose to fame and fortune in the music industry and then gave it all away to live in obscurity among Native Americans on a reservation in New Mexico, teaching children the joy of music and the hope of the gospel. Then his life, so full of promise, came toa tragic end in an auto accident. During his life, Mullins challenged the sensibilities of what it means to follow Jesus in today's world, and now in his death, he challenges all to build upon his legacy of joy, compassion, brokenness, unblinking honesty, and wonder in an Awesome God.

Joshua Slocum's autobiographical account of his solo trip around the world is one of the most remarkable - and entertaining - travel narratives of all time. Setting off alone from Boston aboard the thirty-six-foot wooden sloop Spray in April 1895, Captain Slocum went on to join the ranks of the world's greatest circumnavigators - Magellan, Drake, and Cook. But by circling the globe without crew or consorts, Slocum would outdo them all: his three-year solo voyage of more than 46,000 miles remains unmatched in maritime history for its courage, skill, and determination. Sailing Alone around the World recounts Slocum's wonderful adventures; hair-raising encounters with pirates off Gibraltar and savage Indians in Tierra del Fuego; raging tempests and treacherous coral reefs; flying fish for breakfast in the Pacific; and a hilarious visit with fellow explorer Henry Stanley in South Africa. A century later, Slocum's incomparable book endures as one of the greatest narratives of adventure ever written.

In 1852, Ezra Meeker, his wife, and baby, traveled along the Oregon Trail by ox-cart from Iowa to Oregon. At the age of twenty-six, he retraced his steps, again with an ox-team, and completed another incredible journey across the plains to return to Iowa. Ezra Meeker would then traverse the route twice more, once by car and later by plane. He would also go on to found the Oregon Trail Association. In 1922, he published Ox-Team Days, a compelling memoir and collection of photographs from his days on the trail across the American frontier.
