ALEX AND BRETT HARRIS, 19, live in Gresham, Oregon (near Portland). They are the recipients of six national championships in high school speech and debate, frequent authors for Focus On The Family's online publication, Boundless Webzine, and main speakers for The Rebelution Tour. Launched in June 2007, tour events have been held in Sacramento, Denver, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Tokyo. In 2008, events scheduled to-date include Charlotte, NC (April 5), Portland (May 3), Denver (May 31), Minneapolis (June 21), Dallas (June 28), Des Moines, IA (July 19) and Baltimore, MD (July 26). The twins launched their blog in August, 2005 and the therebelution.com website a year later (which has received over 14 million hits since its inception in 2006). Just three weeks after the blog was launched, it was featured in a column in the New York Daily News, the sixth-largest U.S. daily newspaper. “Think big! HS Twins Tell Peers” read the headline. The column opened with the words, “Most high schoolers’ blogs are the online equivalent of perfumed diaries or locker room walls—outlets for teens to gossip, confess, and network with their pals. But a pair of 16-year-old home-schooled twins from Oregon are out to change that.”

In fall 2005, the twins applied for the internship at the Alabama Supreme Court. The staff attorney in charge of the internship program, who had been reading The Rebelution, successfully encouraged Justice Tom Parker to waive the age restriction. They were 16 at the time making them the youngest Supreme Court Interns on record in the state of Alabama. In spring 2006, at the age of 17, they also became the grassroots directors for four simultaneous statewide campaigns for the Alabama Supreme Court, including Justice Parker's run for Chief Justice.

Alex and Brett have grown up in a ministry household. Their father, Gregg Harris, is a well-known homeschool author and speaker, teaching elder at Household of Faith Community Church and director of Noble Institute for Leadership Development. Their mother, Sono Harris, is an accomplished speaker and successful speech coach. Their older brother, Joshua Harris, is senior pastor of Covenant Life Church and bestselling author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye, Boy Meets Girl, and Sex is Not the Problem.
