I enjoyed this devotional and would recommend it for individual or group study. This is the type of book I like to nurture over time, delving into the scriptures and author's insights and allowing God's Word adequate time to marinate and minister to my spirit. The book is broken into four sections critical to the Christian faith - the Bible, God the Father, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. In addition to a strong biblical basis, the text is supported by factual and historical perspectives. Each chapter features a reason to believe, key quote, little known fact, link to your life, small group discussion, key verse, and prayer. Take the time, anywhere from four weeks to a year, to allow 52 Reasons to Believe to speak to you.

I received a copy of the book from bookfun.org for my honest opinion.

    52 Reasons to Believe

    By: gregg peter farah

I love Greg's study books. They are very easy to follow. Each chapter includes: Reasons to believe, Key quotes, Did you know, Link to your life, Small group discussions, Key verse and Prayer. Very easy to follow. We need a strong faith to believe the Bible is true. This book can be used alone or in a group. This book can help from being a babe in Christ to being a seasoned Christian. We all have room to grow. We can back the Bible questions asked us by affirming it with the Bible. I would recommend this as a study for groups. Ok alone also but I think we can pull out even more by our different thoughts. Great Study Book.

This book is a mixture of theology and devotional. Each of the 52 chapters is short, like a devotional, but deals with theological issues. This is a great book for someone ready to learn a little theology but not ready to tackle a systematic theology tome.

Farah starts out with thoughts on the Bible, giving 20 characteristics and evidences of the Bible's reliability. He next moves to God, with 12 descriptions of God, revealing who He is. He follows that with 13 characteristics of Jesus. In the final section Farah covers seven traits of the Holy Spirit.

Each chapter includes insightful aspects of the topic, a key quote from another author, a "did you know" interesting fact, how to link the topic to your faith and practice, small group discussion questions, key verses, and a prayer.

The information presented is aimed at giving reasons for belief. He includes lots of resources so readers can further investigate each subject.

I was impressed with the material presented. The information is theologically sound and is presented in such a way that even new Christians will be able to understand why the Bible is reliable and the basic characteristics of the Godhead. His "link to your life" sections are great. He provides very practical ways of incorporating the truth of the chapter into every day experience. I really liked his challenge to keep track of the amount of time spent on consuming information and entertainment, then compare that to the time spent reading and reflecting on the Bible. That really is a wake up call! (64)

This book is a great choice for anyone wanting an introduction to theology. The format is very readable and clear. Farah has even added curriculum ideas and lesson templates at the back of the book so this would make a fine choice for small groups or Sunday School classes.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through the Book Group Network for the purpose of this review.

What a powerful book! Farah confronts any doubts that might arise about the Christian faith with Biblical evidence and solid affirmations. This is a really helpful resource for an individual or for a group. He discusses the Bible, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The key quote adds credence to the thoughts shared; the DYK (Did You Know) section provides more thought-provoking ideas; Link to Your Life section presents the reader with real-life aims for growth; and the prayer focuses the reader on the heart of the message. This book will confirm spiritual beliefs held and challenge to new growth in faith and trust. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

52 Reasons to Believe, Concise Thoughts on The Christian Faith by Gregg Peter Farah

I love this book it is broken into four sections, The first is twenty characteristics and evidence of the bible and reason to believe it is true. The second is twelve descriptions of God the remind us who God is and why we can believe He is with us. Thirteen characteristics of Jesus is next describing who Jesus is and why we can cling to Him. The fourth section talks about the Holy Spirit and how the seven traits of the Holy Spirit gives us reason to believe. I found that this book helped me with questions I had and I have been a Christian for many years. It is a great tool to use in a study group or just to answer some of your own question. I highly recommend this book to all Christians. I found it to be easy to read and very informative.

I want to thank the author Gregg Peter Farah and publisher for bringing informative Christian books like this one to readers like me. I would also like to thank The Book Club Network Inc. for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.
