Tell us a little about yourself. With a M.Ed. and over 40 years experience with children of all ages, I'm now a homeschool consultant in PA as well as an author. I live with my husband and two dogs, Skippy and Honey. We had foster kids and horses a while ago, and all my fiction books are actually based on a lot of fact.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to write the Keystone Stables Series to, first of all, share Christ's redeeming love and salvation with kids. I also wanted to challenge the reader to live a life pleasing to our Lord.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I pray that readers will either accept Christ as their Savior or dedicate themselves to walk worthy of His love and calling in each of their lives.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? By working on this project, I came to know a young blind man who was my resource person. His life impacted me greatly because of his positive attitude and "can do" spirit.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My number one influence would be the Bible. Other sources of inspiration include Christian editors with whom I've worked and other Christian writers I've met at writers' conferences. My church family has been an invaluable encouragement as well.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." 1 Corinthians 15: 10a "But by the grace of God I am what I am." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
