Located in: Middleburg, PA Submitted: October 29, 2010 Tell us a little about yourself. I am amazed at how God prepares someone to do a work for Him. In my many years of working with kids at our Christian school, I took many trips to Christian camps with the students for various events and activities. I also learned American Sign Language and worked with the deaf in our church for many years. All those experiences help me write this fiction book about Skye's summer camp adventure with horses and special needs kids. What was your motivation behind this project? My goal was to have readers learn about the love of Christ and the salvation He so freely offers. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I pray that readers either accept Christ as Savior or determine to serve Him more faithfully. It's quite possible as a young person to have a clear godly testimony that others will notice. How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As I wrote this camp story, I was personally impacted by reflecting on the many fun times I had with my Christian school students as we went to camp at different times for competition or just for fun. Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My greatest influence is the Lord Jesus Christ. I owe Him my life, my all, because He has given me eternal life. I am greatly encouraged by other Christian writers and my church family. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: 3 John 1:4 "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." Revelation 19:14 "And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." Find Related Products |
