#4: Putting Others First, DVD
I loved watching these with my daughter. We were able to talk about the principles the cartoon went over. It was cool to see her make connections between her actions and what they video said. Now depending on the age of your kiddos you may just have them enjoy it and let His word sink in or if your older kids, like mine, watch it you could have a discussion.
I do recommend these videos for all ages. It may seem weird and unusual for an almost 10 year old to enjoy these but I would rather have these types of videos than what the media pushes on her age :)

wonderful dvd series
Chuck Swindoll's DVD series Paws & Tales is a wonderful way to present good Christian morals and values with young children. These animated stories with character traits and values are excellent. I'd share them with any young child that visited in my home. Right at the beginning of each story Chuck Swindoll does about a 2-3 minute talk about what the lesson will be about, this may lose the youngest of viewers, but if they can get through that they will be captivated by the animated characters and the story and lessons that are presented in these dvds. The stories are sound Bible lessons with wonderful values for our children today to learn they aren't getting it from Hollywood that is for sure.

Teaches the lessons effectively
Paws & Tales uses cute songs and animation to help build godly character into children. The characters help kids apply biblical truths to every day life. This DVD is number four in the series and is based on Matthew 22:39 and Philippians 2:3. In the first episode, CJ and Staci risk disappointing Paw Paw Chuck to help someone in need. And in the second story, âÂÂThe Hire Principle,â Tiffany learns to put the feelings of others ahead of her own.
My children watched this DVD on their own before I even got a chance to look at it. (They love opening packages I receive, especially when they know itâÂÂs for review and very often those are products for them!) Almost as soon as the program stopped playing, Cora was coming to tell me all about it. I really didnâÂÂt understand what she was so excited about and couldnâÂÂt follow her train of thought, being that I hadnâÂÂt watched the program myself. So, I had to sit and watch it with them. I questioned the kids while we were watching and made sure they got the message. The message comes through loud and clear but itâÂÂs not blatant and in your face. My kids really enjoyed the programs.

Great DVD for young children
I showed the movie and the kids enjoyed both adventure stories. This Paws and Tales captured their attention during the entire length of the DVD. They all have watched some of the other Paws and Tales and they enjoy the releases.
For myself, this is the second time I have actually seen a Paws and Tales story so I was quite excited. I like that these Biblical truths can be achieved through animated adventures and fun animation can build strong foundations! From children to adults we need meaningful messages that encourage us to think and consider other people feelings. Children can learn the concept of putting others first.
Here are other positive things about the DVD. Paws and Tales is offered in English and Spanish and there is the option of subtitles! Besides the two episodes, music, activities and helpful teaching resources for parents, grandparents, and church educators are offered.
Overall Paws and Tales: Putting Others First is a great DVD and I heartily recommend it for families of preschoolers and early elementary-school-age kids, grand-parents, church libraries and others! Even if you just want values for your children, this is a great way to present them.
