Reviewed by Cynthia Tobias (Spartanburg, SC), April 16, 2010I love, love, love this book! It was so helpful to me. I especially enjoyed the little quizzes all through that help you remember what you've learned. The introductions to each section were excellent. I highly recommend this book. Reviewed by D Myers (Washington Township, NJ), April 13, 2010Worth it for anyone with any level of Bible knowledge. Great overview and a lot of repetition which helps to cement the themes and main ideas! Reviewed by Steve Orr (Newville, PA), April 07, 2010This book is written in two main sections. The first section is great. It details how the Bible is written. The members of my Sunday School class learned much of the history, geography and writing styles of the Old and New Testament. The problem for my class was the second half of this book. Max Anders writes about 10 docterines of the Bible. In my opinion, this whole section was not needed and my class quickly lost interest. I would highly recommend using the first half of this book for the basis of a group based study. Just skip the second half. Reviewed by Shelley Jamieson (Franklin, TN), March 26, 2010I highly recommend this book for a person who is trying to understand the Bible as a new student but also very helpful to the seasoned student as a review. I am 70 years old and have been studying the Bible all of my life. This review helped to tie it all together for me. Reviewed by Kathy Machingo (Cortland, OH), March 22, 2010Enjoyable foundational book, good for teenagers as well. Fun to do, great memorization of concepts in the format used. Reviewed by Ezekiel Villarreal (Fremont, OH), January 11, 2010This is a great book, not only for the new Christian, but also, for the long time believer who wants a better grasp on Scripture. It is put in a way that is easy to read, understand and retain the information. Reviewed by Terry (Royse City, Texas), October 13, 2009This is a great book to help guide you through the bible.
