I love, love, love this book! It was so helpful to me. I especially enjoyed the little quizzes all through that help you remember what you've learned. The introductions to each section were excellent. I highly recommend this book.

Worth it for anyone with any level of Bible knowledge. Great overview and a lot of repetition which helps to cement the themes and main ideas!

This book is written in two main sections. The first section is great. It details how the Bible is written. The members of my Sunday School class learned much of the history, geography and writing styles of the Old and New Testament. The problem for my class was the second half of this book. Max Anders writes about 10 docterines of the Bible. In my opinion, this whole section was not needed and my class quickly lost interest. I would highly recommend using the first half of this book for the basis of a group based study. Just skip the second half.

I highly recommend this book for a person who is trying to understand the Bible as a new student but also very helpful to the seasoned student as a review. I am 70 years old and have been studying the Bible all of my life. This review helped to tie it all together for me.
