Bryan Davis is the author of the best-selling Dragons in Our Midst and Oracles of Fire series, contemporary/fantasy blends for young people. His book Eye of the Oracle hit number one on the January 2007, Young Adult CBA best-seller list. His book The Bones of Makaidos won the 2010 Clive Staples Award, recognizing the best work in Christian worldview speculative fiction. With the September 2010 release of Masters & Slayers, Bryan has begun his first fantasy series for adults, Tales of Starlight.
Bryan is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S. in Industrial Engineering). From the time he taught himself how to read before school age, through his seminary years and beyond, he has demonstrated a passion for the written word, reading and writing in many disciplines and genres, including theology, fiction, devotionals, poetry, and humor.
Bryan continues to further his writing education by attending relevant writing conferences and conventions. Bryan is a craftsman with words and an excellent interviewee on various topics, including his books, young adult fantasy fiction, and creative writing in general. He makes appearances around the country for book signings and for special presentations to enthusiastic young readers and developing young authors in middle schools, high schools, and homeschool groups. Although he is now a full time writer, Bryan was a computer professional for over 20 years. Bryan and his wife, Susie, have homeschooled their four girls and three boys.
In The Seventh Door Mr. Davis has created a perfect blend of reality, fantasy and biblical truths. With his intricate way of storytelling he enthralls us as our very dear friends find themselves in the looming shadow of the apocalypse of Revelation. Filled with love and sacrifice The Seventh Door is truly a masterpiece of literature and one of Mr. Davis's finest pieces of art. The Seventh Door makes us look into our hearts and see what is driving us on, whether hate toward our enemies or love for our friends. This book is by far my favorite of The Children of the Bard series, it might even top The Bones of Makaidos.

Seldom does a book move me the tears.... This book was #1. I felt like I was with the characters throughout each emotional high and low. During every trial, God was present and I could feel that. Having read the series all the way from Raising Dragons to The Seventh Door, I have never seen such character growth, faith, comic relief and an author willing to openly talk about and display God and everything God is.
The fate of the world now lies in the hands of God's faithful servants as they try to stop the apocalypse of Revelations from happening. They do so with grace, mercy, justice, and the sacrificial love of Jesus in their hearts. The life changing effect of this story world continues as you open The Seventh Door and immerse yourself into the literary genius of Mr. Davis and in God.
The Seventh Door I would say has got to be one of the best books Bryan Davis has ever written so far, hands down. The content is so rich, so full of love in it's truest and purest form. The passion, the love, the trust and the faith the characters show for God through all of their trials and triumphs has simply overwhelmed me. This book has honestly lifted up my spirit to new heights, reminding me of God's truths and promises the world tries so hard for me to forget. I thank Bryan Davis so much for his work, for using his God-given talents to write this book, and the many books he has written through the years, and hopefully through many more in the years to come. I thank him and I thank God so much for Bryan Davis' books, for this book, because they have truly changed my life, and truly saved my life. Thank you Bryan Davis; thank you.
