Original Family Classics Triple Feature
This is a Xmas gift. I am familiar with one of the films. Based on CBD's high quality films, I expect all three to be quite satisfactory.
One note, all three movies do not take place in 19th century. "Red Fern" is 20th Century:)

average to less than average
the 'red fern' is a good story, caution for an accidental death. Young boy fights poverty and raises his hounds, with a Southern legend in the script (hence,'the red fern' title). / The 'proud rebel' is the old style western, the hero is forced into a gun fight with ruthless cattle baron (and unruly sons, the apple don't fall far from the tree), to save the widows land, with his son's loss of speach due to trauma as a parallel plot. Did'nt know it was a shoot em' up movie, looked more like the son was full focus. / 'seven alone' depicts a true, but not attractive story of the seven Sager children that lose their parents while travelling West in the 19th century. The oldest boy, who is rebellious and harsh towards everybody, leads them to safety somehow. I believe this film probably lost something in the translation of the book, which was written by one of the girls who survived the trial. Would'nt buy it a second time. But that's the description. no comedy here, all drama, and some of it very harsh.
