Product Description

In this volume, James Scott explores Second Corinthians, shedding light on the personal aspect of Paul's problems at Corinth. Emphasizing the two major motifs of the merkabah (heavenly throne-chariot) and Korah's rebellion, Scott suggests that Paul saw his embattled situation as parallel to that of Moses during the rebellion. Includes a brief introduction and references.

I am not an expert in Commentaries but I own a few. 5 single volume and various others from sets. What I like about the Understanding the Bible series is that it is good for personal bible study and teaching in small groups. A very good step up from study bible notes. It is not as in depth as a Pillar New Testament Commentary which I really like. But it is about one third the price which I really like as well. Note this is not a new series but a republish of another series from the 90's. But that is not a distraction for me.
