Sidney Lumet s masterful directing is full of spirit, contention, brilliant performances, and a uniquely American approach to justice. A jury of 12 men argues the issue of the guilt of a young man purported to have killed his father with a knife. One lone juror (Henry Fonda) stands against the tide of guilty verdicts and ultimately persuades the rest of the men to a different point of view.
