Fantasy lover4 Stars Out Of 5August 3, 2009Fantasy loverThis book was rather short and easygoing compared to your average fantasy series. There was little intrigue or danger and some parts of the books could seem rather foolish and clumsy at times. But it's a nice book to read, especially if you're trying to wind down after an especially dark or action packed book, or after a hard day at work. Overall it was pretty good.
Sarah5 Stars Out Of 5February 6, 2009SarahThis is a delightful read - very imaginative and entertaining. It's light fiction, so relaxing to read, but keeps you wanting to read more. I would definitely recommend it.

Tell us a little about yourself. I love hiking in the mountains, building fires and reading by them, romping with dogs, watching horses, making quilts, cooking fun things, playing games.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wrote the type of story that I have always enjoyed reading. My motivation was to serve other people by providing them with a fun read within a Christian worldview. I was responding to God's command to love each other--using the strengths and abilities that He gave me.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope they will identify with the characters and the problems they have, so that they can also identify with the triumphs/life lessons that the characters have. Also, I hope folks will just plain enjoy themselves.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? There have been times when I remembered something from a book that encouraged or directed me. It was very helpful, and only afterwards did I realize it was from one of my own stories--strange, but true!
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Favorite authors include C. S. Lewis, Tolkien, George MacDonald, Linda Nichols, T. Davis Bunn, Robert Siegel, Jan Karon, Francine Rivers, Bodie and Brock Thoene, Elizabeth Goudge, E. Nesbit, some of Robin McKinley, some of Gene Pratton Porter--and the list could go on and on! Influences besides these authors include the Blue Ridge Mountains, a few really good friends, and long talks with and much leaning upon my father,God, through His Son, Jesus.
