When single sisters Caroline Marris, Gracie Gold, and Sam Carter came together for a vacation on Nantucket Island they never imagined it would change the course of their lives.
Caroline flies by the seat of her pants, Gracie is almost too grounded, and Sam is stuck being their peacemaker. They do finally agree on something – to fulfill their deceased mother’s wish and buy Misty Harbor Inn on the island and turn it into a Bed & Breakfast.
The sisters discover a mystery about the inn and one of it’s previous owners that they are determined to solve. As the story continues, Caroline, Gracie and Sam explore Nantucket and meet new friends. It makes the reader feel like they are also getting to know the area from way it is described.
There is nothing too deep or serious in this story. It is an enjoyable light read. The sister’s love for each other always wins in the end. No two siblings are alike and that is portrayed well in this book. I guess the only unbelievable part would deal with Caroline and George. They had been friends for thirty years, best friends at that. I find it unbelievable that they would continue to stay just friends that long without marrying.
This series is very similar to The Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series. This is a clean, uplifting story that will have you rooting for the sisters to work out their differences and take ownership of the inn.

Three sister's reuniting together, after the death of their Mother, at a place with happy memories. They are at Nantucket Island, and reminiscing about their childhood visits there.
While out on one of their adventures, they stumble upon the old Inn where they went to tea with Mom. Such sweet times, recapturing memories. Can just picture them poking around the deserted, and becoming run down inn. It is For Sale, and the oldest sister Caroline Marris, all of a sudden wants to buy it??
Can you imagine that change in your life? She has traveled, and has been staying in England. Sam Carter, another sister, takes a liking to the idea, but Gracie Gold cannot see giving up her life in Maine. She loves being needed by her Son and Daughter-In-Law, and their children. She is so torn. They need her money from their inheritance to buy the inn, where as she thinks she should give hers to her son.
As I was reading this, I felt like I was one of the Sisters, and loved their adventures, a bit of bickering, and lots of laughs, and family friendship.
I could almost smell the ocean, and want them to buy the inn, and find out the answers to some of the questions and mysteries they stumble upon. Once you started reading you won't want to put it down. I am so glad that there is another book in this series.

Come along with me and escape to Nantucket Island which for years has been the go to place for summer vacations. I have never physically been in the area, but through these books I enjoyed it immensely, and because of the vivid imagery which the authors used exceptionally well, feel as if I have actually been there with the sisters. I saw the Misty Harbor Inn as it was years ago through the memories of the three sisters, and rejoiced with them as they prepared it for guests. I enjoyed the beach, peaked into the abandoned inn with them, though I probably would have identified myself more with the younger sister, and thrilled as they found the dolls and their secrets. I walked with them as they struggled in their relationship with each other, and their families and worked beside them as they faced those feelings that needed to be confronted.
This is a story about sister relationships, the expectations we have of each other, our strengths and weaknesses and how we can learn to use all this in order to work together successfully. I really enjoyed these two books, and really hope that, like Debbie Macomber's series, this will grow into more books.
Thanks to Litfuse Publications for the free copy of this book, given for the purpose of writing an honest review. A positive critique was not mandatory. The opinions stated are my own.

Evangeline Kelley's Seaside Harmony & Sunflower Summer are the first two in the series Postcards from Misty Harbor Inn. In a nutshell, It is about "Three sisters. A charming inn. Hints of mystery and romance. And a gorgeous seaside setting."
There are aspects I can appreciate about the book like the vivid details surrounding Nantucket's landscape and the depictions of Misty Harbor Inn itself. But it seems that is where the charm ends.
The characters never really seemed to come to life. Their portrayals seemed superficial never really delving into the root of their relationship as sisters, wives, and mothers. I left the books feeling like I did not get to know Caroline, Gracie, and Sam. Even their relationship with God seemed a bit elusive and the lack of thereof for Sam was never really explored in depth.
The mystery surrounding Hannah Montague intriguing at first seemed to fall flat at the end. Seeing their mystery case evolve to come an incomplete resolution left one thinking that maybe it will be further explored in upcoming titles seeing that they have an entire house to further explore for clues.
Caroline's relationship with George became a bit much to bare as well as Gracie's indecisiveness. Whereas, the growth of the sisters was evident in small amounts especially with Caroline becoming more focused and Gracie seemingly loosening up, the ending did not seem to consistent leaving the future of the inn and the sisters a little in the air.
I definitely appreciated that romance was not the focal point of these books and a look at usually overlooked topics such as empty-nesters, widowhood, and retirement were explored. The historical mystery involved was exciting with its clues and leads. Overall, the books seemed to drag on a bit and did not develop the characters enough.
